Hope Fund Happy Tails
Frankie’s Friends provides hope for families who are simply unable to pay for an unexpected illness.
While many charitable organizations provide care for wildlife, strays, abused animals, or relinquished and abandoned pets, few exist for the large number of pets from otherwise loving and responsible families who cannot afford the cost of care.
Your gift to Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund assists families who demonstrate substantial financial need and whose pets would have a good prognosis for long-term recovery to a normal quality of life.
Funding is limited to donations
Funding is available only through donations. When the fund is out of money, no grants are made.
Who qualifies for Hope Fund support?
Pets must be recommended for the Hope Fund support by their attending veterinarian.
What kind of care qualifies for support?
The Hope Fund is used when a necessary therapy would otherwise be impossible financially. Financial support may be given to families who demonstrate substantial financial need and whose pets would have a good prognosis from a single intervention for long-term recovery to a normal quality of life.
If there is enough money in the Hope Fund to provide grants to qualifying families, the Hope Fund will support the first $200 of treatment costs, then 50% of the remaining costs, up to a maximum Frankie’s Friends contribution of $500. When the Hope Fund is used, the hospital and attending veterinarian also contribute 25% of the total amount provided by Frankie’s Friends.
Temporary treatment of a chronic disease, such as medication to support a lifelong ailment, will not be funded. These funds may not be used for euthanasia, and may not be used for strays, rescues or wildlife.
